Nissan unveils 2017 Patrol Super Safari in the UAE

At a glamorous event held at the Al Maha Desert Resort in the UAE, Nissan Middle East announced the rebirth of the legendary Patrol Super Safari, a vehicle that has developed a spotless reputation for taking on and demolishing the most grueling of conditions.

“The return of the legendary Patrol Super Safari reflects Nissan’s willingness not only to listen to its regional customers, but to also respond to their wishes,” said Samir Cherfan, Managing Director of Nissan Middle East. “The Patrol Super Safari’s return is the direct result of customer demand for this vehicle which has a strong heritage with the deserts of the Arabian Peninsula.”

The newly launched Super Safari retains all the elements that have elevated the vehicle to its iconic status, while welcoming a series of aesthetic upgrades both inside and out. Marrying legendary off-road capability with a sporting persona, the 2017 model is seen flaunting a roof spoiler, a tri-color scheme, flared fender arches, machine cut 17-inch black alloys, and a reworked set of bumpers.

Within the cabin, the Patrol Super Safari is fitted with 8-way tan leather powered seats, a navigation system, front and rear parking sensors with a rear-view camera, Bluetooth, USB, CD, auxiliary input socket and FM/AM radio to complete the in-car entertainment offering. The Japanese SUV also comes equipped with automatic climate control and a built-in refrigerated cool box.

Powered by a 4.8-liter V6 engine, the 2017 Patrol Super Safari produces 280 horsepower and 451 Nm of torque, figures that play a vital role in its off-road capability. Mated to a 5-speed automatic transmission, it’s equipped with Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC) and a Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) for added safety.

Prices start at AED 191,000 and rise to AED 199,000 for the option with the winch integrated into the front bumper.
