Aston Martin Lagonda has unveiled the production-ready version of its first fully electric vehicle, the Rapid E, which will make its global debut at the Shanghai International Auto Show.

Design and Innovation

Maric Wrightman, Vice President and Chief Creative Officer at Aston Martin, presented the Rapid E as the flagship model of the luxury brand. Following the success of previous limited-edition models, the Rapid E continues to set a new standard in performance, craftsmanship, and exclusive features.

Vehicle Manufacturing

As Aston Martin's first vehicle produced at their state-of-the-art facility in St. Athan, the Rapid E represents a pivotal step in the company’s strategy to create electric vehicles. It is a product of the success of Lagonda - the world's first luxury brand dedicated to producing zero-emissions cars.

  • Production numbers: Limited to just 155 units.
  • Partnership: Developed in collaboration with Williams Advanced Engineering.

Technology and Performance

The Rapid E is equipped with an 800-volt electric system, featuring a combined electrical capacity of 65 kWh powered by lithium-ion batteries. This battery pack includes over 5,600 cylindrical 18650 cells.

  • Range: Over 200 miles according to the WLTP test.
