 1. Increased Weight: EVs are heavier due to battery packs, requiring tyres capable of supporting the additional load without increasing the tyre’s own weight.

 2. High Torque: EVs generate significant torque, leading to faster tyre wear. To combat this, Michelin has developed technologies that enhance tyre longevity while maintaining performance.

 3. Low Rolling Resistance: To maximize the range between charges, Michelin focuses on reducing rolling resistance, ensuring friction is minimized without compromising grip or durability.

 4. Noise Reduction: With EVs being almost silent, tyre noise becomes more noticeable. Michelin employs acoustic technologies to enhance cabin quietness for a premium driving experience.

 

 

 

Michelin is committed to sustainability by integrating eco-friendly materials into its tyres . The company works with over 200 materials, including natural and synthetic rubber, textiles, chemicals, and metals. Their approach extends to educating rubber farmers on improving yields and quality, ensuring the highest standards from the ground up.
