Uber Relaunches Its Services
In support of the Emiratization program in the UAE, Uber has relaunched its services in Abu Dhabi following a joint agreement with the Integrated Transport Centre (ITC) and the Ministry of Transport. This agreement allows UAE citizens to become drivers for Uber and use their personal vehicles to pick up and drop off passengers, whether on a full-time or part-time basis.

Mohammed Darwish Al Qamzi, the General Director of the Integrated Transport Centre, stated: “We are pleased to provide reliable and convenient transportation solutions with Uber for residents and visitors in Abu Dhabi. All private and public vehicles are supervised according to ITC regulations to meet the required standards and licensing requirements.”
Details of Uber Services in the UAE
The base fare for Uber in the UAE ranges between AED 5.4 and AED 10.6, depending on the day of the week and the time of day, as well as whether there is a public holiday. The fare per kilometer is AED 2.25, and waiting charges are AED 0.25 per minute.
