2013 Nissan Sentra Review: Performance, Interior, and Features
When searching for a compact sedan, there are numerous options available globally. We tested the 2013 Nissan Sentra, designed by Nissan to sit between the Altima and the Sunny. With its attractive front grille, LED headlights, rear brakes, and 16-inch wheels, the Sentra presents itself as a very stylish sedan.
Performance
The Sentra offers two engine variants:
- 1.6 liters
- 1.8 liters
Nissan hasn’t overlooked safety features either. The Sentra comes equipped with an EBD, or Electronic Brake-force Distribution, which applies more braking force to the rear brakes when there's extra weight in the back. It also features brake assist, which senses sudden pressure on the brakes and applies maximum force to stop the vehicle.
Interior
Upon approaching the vehicle and unlocking it with the smart key in my pocket, I noticed how upgraded the car is. Once seated, you’ll appreciate the well-padded and comfortable interior.
Looking at the dashboard, the aesthetic appeal is evident, with wood accents on the doors adding elegance. There is ample legroom both in the front and back, and the trunk offers a generous 510 liters of cargo space.
One feature I particularly liked is that the radio displays the type of music you will listen to when selecting a station. For instance, tuning to 104.8 indicates you will hear pop songs, while switching to 104.1 tells you it's a variety station.
Conclusion
Another great aspect of the Sentra is that the fuel door is on the driver's side, which means you can skip the long lines at gas stations. Additionally, it comes with Pure Drive, which ensures that your driving exceeds Nissan's global environmental standards.
In summary, the Sentra is a comfortable, economical, and well-equipped vehicle that offers plenty to appreciate.
