2016 Mitsubishi Pajero - The Versatile SUV in the UAE
History of the Mitsubishi Pajero
Over the past three and a half decades, one vehicle has seen a growing popularity in the automotive sector, particularly within the SUV category: the Mitsubishi Pajero. This robust, modern, and reliable SUV made its way into the UAE through Al Habtoor Motors, the official Mitsubishi dealer.
The Pajero was first unveiled at the Tokyo Motor Show in November 1973, followed by the introduction of the Pajero II model in 1978. Mitsubishi aimed to create a luxury vehicle that transcended the typical SUV. In January 1983, the Pajero made its debut at the Paris-Dakar Rally, securing the first place in 1985.
Successes in the Dakar Rally
To this day, the Pajero remains the most successful vehicle in the Dakar Rally, winning 7 out of 10 races in its category and a total of 15 out of 32 races. The Mitsubishi Pajero has consistently achieved top placements on the international racing stage, whether in the Baja Italy Rally, the UAE Desert Challenge, the Tunisia Rally, the Por las Pampas Rally, the Morocco Rally, or the Granada-Dakar Rally.

Today, after three and a half decades of trust, it has over 100,000 satisfied customers in the UAE.
