Introducing the 2019 GMC Sierra Elevation
GMC continues to enhance its lineup of next-generation Sierra trucks in the region with the launch of the fully-equipped 2019 GMC Sierra Elevation. Adding to a range of recently unveiled Sierra models known for their bold design and high power, the Elevation boasts exceptional styling, capabilities, and advanced connectivity features. In addition to the Crew-cab model (with two rows of seats and four doors), the Middle East will be the only region in the world to offer a regular cab version (with a single row of seats and two doors) of the 2019 GMC Sierra Elevation, highlighting the importance of the Sierra in the region.
Design of the GMC Sierra Elevation
The Sierra Elevation – alongside the Denali, AT4, SLT, and SLE models – is designed to meet the needs and preferences of discerning GMC customers. The next-generation Sierra lineup is built on a robust platform featuring:
- Sculpted fenders
- A bold, long hood design
- A larger, more prominent front grille than any previous Sierra model
The Elevation sets itself apart with monochromatic door handles, impact-resistant bumpers, and grille surrounds. The truck's powerful design is enhanced by exterior additions in black, including custom grille accents, tow hooks, window trim, and optional 20-inch aluminum wheels.
Director's Comments
Commenting on the launch, Sajid Sabih, GMC Brand Manager at General Motors Middle East, stated: "The Sierra has long been celebrated as an iconic vehicle in the region, and the completely revamped 2019 Sierra, eagerly anticipated by customers, will strengthen the rich heritage of GMC’s light-duty pickup truck among clients. I am also pleased to announce that the 2019 Sierra Elevation will be exclusively available in our region with a regular cab configuration, elevating the customer experience with its unique design, high capabilities, and advanced connectivity technologies."
Engines of the GMC Sierra Elevation
The Sierra Elevation comes with a two-wheel drive system in the regular cab models, with an optional four-wheel drive available for the extended cab and Crew-cab models. The next-generation Crew-cab model offers an additional 3 inches of legroom in the rear seat compared to the current model, along with best-in-class head and legroom in the front section of the Crew-cab configuration.
Equipped with an all-new 2.7-liter turbocharged engine paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission as standard in the Sierra Elevation 2019 extended cab or Crew-cab models, it delivers 310 horsepower and 348 Nm of torque. The regular cab model features a 5.3-liter V8 engine connected to a six-speed automatic transmission with Active Fuel Management, which shuts off cylinders when not needed, generating 355 horsepower and 519 Nm of torque, enhancing its capabilities further.
