Engines and Performance
The 2019 Altima offers two new engine options, starting with a standard 2.5-liter DOHC inline-4 engine featuring direct injection. This engine boasts improvements in noise and vibration levels, along with enhanced fuel efficiency and reduced emissions.
The previous generation's 3.5-liter V6 engines have been replaced with the world's first production-ready variable compression turbocharged engine. This technological advancement allows the VC-Turbo engine to seamlessly adjust its compression ratio.
