2023 Toyota Prius Review
We have eagerly awaited this moment, and finally, it has arrived. The Toyota Prius has reached the Gulf region. This is not the first generation; it is the fourth generation of the Prius, which is considered one of the best options for daily driving. Let's take a closer look.
Key Specifications:
- Engine: 1.8 liters + Electric Motor
- Transmission: CVT
- Top Speed: 180 km/h
- Price of this model: 90,000 AED
Exterior Design
The design is unconventional and unlike any other car you may have driven before. We are used to familiar shapes, but this one stands out. I believe the new look is much more attractive than the previous generation. The headlights resemble those of other Toyota models, but everything else has a unique design. It's sure to turn heads.

Interior and Safety
The interior design is visually appealing and comfortable. The interior is simple yet modern, resembling a spacecraft. The white and black colors are very attractive and make you want to explore all the buttons. The cabin is very quiet, featuring touches of leather and sturdy plastics, but it does not feel cheap at all. The interior space is quite generous for a compact car, especially the trunk area. The entertainment screen is of average quality, but considering the car's price, it is adequate. In terms of safety features, the Prius comes with six airbags, Blind Spot Detection (BSD), Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA), Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), a rearview camera, and sensors. Overall, it provides a good safety package considering the vehicle's price.
Driving Experience
The Prius is well-known for its fuel efficiency. At the end of each trip, the display shows performance information and tips for improving your driving. The cabin is quiet, but you can hear the engine occasionally. The Prius accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 11 seconds. A notable feature is that the electric motor provides the torque you need. You can drive the car using either fuel or battery power alone. The vehicle charges the battery while you drive, so you don't need to worry about plugging it in. Its 1.8-liter engine produces 97 horsepower and 142 Nm of torque, in addition to the electric motor generating 71 horsepower and 163 Nm of torque. However, the combined output is a unique 121 horsepower due to the nature of hybrid engines. In my opinion, this is sufficient. The driving is smooth, and turning is easy, so I have no complaints.
Conclusion
If you love the design, the Prius is sure to outshine the Corolla.
