Abu Dhabi Police Announcement
Yesterday, the Abu Dhabi Police announced its decision to extend the discount on traffic violations for an additional three months. Originally set to expire on the 22nd of this month, authorities believe this move will facilitate easier payment for motorists.
Details of the Discount
The 50% discount on violations was first introduced in December of last year. Individuals who received violations before December 22nd could benefit from this discount to avoid vehicle impoundment or accruing black points for a period of three months. Additionally, there were discounts of:
- 35% for those who paid their fines within 60 days.
- 25% for those who delayed payment beyond 60 days.
New Discount Duration
The discount, which was originally scheduled to end on March 22, has now been extended to June 22 of this year.
