Al-Futtaim Toyota, the official distributor for Toyota vehicles in the UAE, has welcomed the all-new Toyota Rush to its Middle Eastern line-up. This exciting event took place at the Palazzo Versace in Dubai. The Toyota Rush is a 7-seater compact SUV, designed for those seeking the functionality and space of a large SUV, combined with the affordability and reliability of a smaller SUV.
Design and Features
Sharing its drivetrain with the Toyota Avanza, the Rush features a bold design with crisp contours and neat 17-inch alloys that give it an intimidating stance. The chrome grille and angular headlamps enhance the wide, sharp design of the frontal fascia, helping it stand out from the affordable people carrier it is based on.
Market Insights
“Crossover utility vehicles and compact SUVs represent the fastest growing segment in the global automotive industry. In our region, this category of vehicles has been on a steady growth trend since 2013 and is expected to continue in the same direction, accounting for 25% of the total SUV market in the UAE,” said Saud Abbasi, Managing Director of Al-Futtaim Toyota.
Interior Space and Comfort
Despite its compact body, the interior of the Toyota Rush offers an abundance of space that can accommodate 7 adults or transport ample amounts of cargo. The double-folding feature on the 2nd and 3rd row seats provides easy access for all passengers, ensuring comfort with rear A/C vents and multiple 12V charging outlets.
Performance
Powered by a 1.5-liter in-line 4-cylinder petrol engine, the Toyota Rush delivers 103 horsepower and 135 Nm of torque, which it channels through a 4-speed automatic transmission to the rear wheels. The Rush offers impressive ground clearance, making it capable of conquering most terrains while providing a comfortable, quiet ride to its occupants.

Awarded a 5-star ASEAN NCAP rating, the Toyota Rush is priced at AED 68,500 and includes safety features such as:
