140 accidents in various parts of the emirate have been recorded by the Dubai Police from 3am till 9am during the fog on Sunday.

900 calls have also been received by the command and control room of the Dubai Police.

Colonel Omer Al Shamsi warned everyone, drivers and road users, to be extra careful in such unstable weathers, because that’s the peak time when most of the traffic accidents occur.

He said that all drivers should check that their windshields, lights and their signals were working before they begin driving in foggy conditions. He also stressed on motorists to use their windscreen wipers and keep an eye out for other drivers in these poor weather conditions.
