2016 Gulf Concours attracts a global audience

Hosted on the lawns of the iconic Burj Al Arab, the inaugural Gulf Concours attracted the wealthiest of collectors and connoisseurs from the world over. Inaugurated by His Royal Highness Prince Michael of Kent, the Gulf Concours is set to become one of the most noted Concours d’ Elegance events globally.

The exclusive invitation-only event, which ran from the 17th to the 19th of November, showcased some of the rarest and most valuable classic cars in the world. Contrasted by a collection of modern bespoke offerings, it was an event that catered to all types of automotive enthusiasts. 

“We are so proud to be launching Gulf Concours in the UAE,” said Rory Heron, Managing Director of Thorough Events Singapore, the event owners and organizers. “This first-time exhibition has attracted the Middle East’s most discerning collectors and car enthusiasts, and we have no doubt that it will become one of the most noted Concours d’ elegance events in the world.”

Amongst nearly forty priceless vehicles on display, the Bentley GT3-R walked away with the “Best Bespoke Limited Edition” award, while the Ferrari La Ferrari bagged the “Best Modern Bespoke” award.
