Genesis, Hyundai Motor Company’s standalone luxury division, pulled the wraps off its G90 flagship sedan at a gala launch ceremony held at the Armani Hotel located in Downtown Dubai.

Engineered from the ground up, the Genesis G90 offers superior levels of comfort and a choice of three V6 and V8 engines. Plans for the brand in the region, include the introduction of five models by the year 2020: the driver-focused G80, the compact G70, two SUVs and a sports coupe as well.

“The Genesis G90 aims to be the best in a very competitive class, and we believe we have achieved that,” said Genesis Head of Africa and Middle East Operations, Mike Song. “No effort has been spared in the pursuit of excellence, and the result is a vehicle that sets the highest possible standards of comfort, refinement and quality. It is a car that will impress in every aspect of its design and engineering, and to be a Genesis owner will set our customers apart as being part of a very exclusive circle.”

Aesthetically, the G90 is a powerful representation of the brand’s Athletic Elegance design language, which will be carried through onto upcoming Genesis models. Its sculpted hood, elongated wheelbase and short overhangs, lend it a rather suave persona.

“Every detail of the Genesis G90 has been crafted to enhance the sense of luxury and prestige,” said Global Head of Genesis, Manfred Fitzgerald. “With Genesis, we start by understanding those things that create enjoyment in owning a luxury car, and then we bring design, technology and careful engineering together to create something that will excite the senses and that people will desire.”

Powertrain options include a 3.8-liter V6, an all-new 3.3-liter twin-turbo V6, and the tried and tested Tau 5.0-liter V8. Prices range from AED 290,000 to AED 305,000.
