French automaker Peugeot is one whose new-fangled design doctrine seems to be playing an integral part in its increasing popularity. Headed by the likes of Marion David, the styling of the all-new 3008 is a sharp departure from the previous generation model and one that exudes aggression.

Presented to audiences at the Paris International Motor Show in September, the all-new 3008 competes in the C-segment of the SUV realm, an area occupied by the likes of the Volkswagen Tiguan, Nissan X-Trail, and Mitsubishi ASX.

Staying true to Peugeot’s cockpit-styled cabin, the 2017 3008 features the latest iteration of the brand’s i-Cockpit with digital displays adorning the dashboard and instrument cluster. The iconic flat-bottomed steering wheel, which has become a solid part of the French automaker’s line-up, also makes a comeback in the all-new model.

As far are powertrains are concerned, the 3008 welcomes a 1.2-liter 3-cylinder, 1.6-liter 4-cylinder, and 2.0-liter 4-cylinder in international markets. Word on the ground, however, is that for Middle Eastern markets, it is only the 1.6-liter unit with a 6-speed automatic transmission that will power the all-new 3008.

While that’s all for now, stay tuned for more as its debut approaches in early May.
