2017 Volvo V90 Cross Country prepares for UAE launch

Swedish automotive manufacturer Volvo, has been busy at altering its trite reputation in the recent past with aesthetically and mechanically breathtaking models. The 2017 Volvo V90 Cross Country, an adventurer’s wagon, joins the striking XC90 and S90 to complete the brand’s 90 Series line-up.

Since the introduction of the first Cross Country model nearly 20 years ago, Volvo has become synonymous with churning out rugged all-road, all-weather Cross Country offerings. Tested in the harshest of winters and the warmest of summers, the V90 Cross Country is a testament to extreme durability and represents a large part of Volvo’s heritage.
“The V90 Cross Country takes the elegance of the V90 and transforms it into an all-road car that delivers safety, comfort and performance in a capable and adventurous package,” said Håkan Samuelsson, President & CEO, Volvo Car Group.
Receiving its underpinnings from the Volvo Cars’ Scalable Product Architecture, the 2017 Volvo V90 Cross Country has undergone rigorous testing across the globe and is set to be produced at the Torslanda Plant in Sweden.

“Our cars are well known for their safety, strength and durability. With All-Wheel Drive, increased ride height, and a chassis optimised for comfort and control in all weather and road conditions, the new V90 Cross Country takes our versatile V90 estate and adds the heart of an explorer,” said Dr Peter Mertens, Senior Vice President Research & Development at Volvo Cars.
According to regional representatives, the Volvo V90 Cross Country should make its way into showrooms across the UAE by mid-November 2016.
