A compact executive car by traditional standards, the 2018 Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio is a worthy rival to segment heavyweights such as the BMW M3 and the Mercedes-AMG C63. Dedicated to the performance enthusiasts, its raspy exhaust note, aggressive styling, and intimidating presence are bound to turn heads, with nothing but admiration.

The first model in the brand’s relaunch plan, the Alfa Romeo Giulia lays the road for an upcoming eight-car line-up and worldwide sales target of 400,000 units by 2018. Weighing in at 1,524 kilograms, the Italian babe shares the composite alloy construction of other models to flaunt a phenomenal power-to-weight ratio of 0.15 horsepower per kilogram.

With 505 eager to gallop horses packed under its hood, the 2018 Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio sets benchmark performance figures for an all-aluminum 2.9-liter twin-turbocharged V6 engine. Charging to a top speed of 307 km/h, the Giulia zooms past the 100 km/h mark in a mere 3.8-seconds - a number that is both impressive and brag-worthy.

More than just a straight-line rocket, however, the Italian sports sedan is armed with plenty of tech to aid it in the bends. Active aero front splitters, a drive mode selector, and torque vectoring function behind the scenes to allow the 2018 Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio to complete a lap of the Nürburgring in a record-setting 7 minutes and 32 seconds.
