2018 Bentley Grand Convertible Unveiled in Dubai

Posted by Zaran Tarapore on Nov 20, 2017

Hand-crafted by the brand’s personal commissioning division Mulliner, the Bentley Grand Convertible is no ordinary automobile, not with just nineteen examples built and one headed to the UAE. A collectible in every way and form, the Grand Convertible is breathtaking yet understated, representing the finest in open-top motoring.

Stefan Sielaff, Director of Bentley Design and Mulliner, said: “The Grand Convertible by Mulliner will appeal to automotive connoisseurs seeking the ultimate in prestige and exclusivity. I want to explore more one-off vehicles and limited runs like this where the only limitation is the imagination of the customer.”

Graceful and refined, the inspiration for the limited production run of 19 units, celebrates the year the British marque was formed, 1919. The book-matched and mirror-finished tonneau features the largest piece of wood veneer to ever be applied to a Bentley, while encompassed by elegant lines of chromed steel.

Packing a fair bit of power under its hood, the Bentley Grand Convertible by Mulliner borrows the potent 6.75-liter twin-turbo V8 from the flagship Mulsanne, to produce an extremely respectable 530-horsepower and 1,100 Nm of torque. Each Grand Convertible will be created in close consultation with its owner, developing both the interior and exterior style to their exacting requirements.
