Splashing onto the scenes with much fury and might, the 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk is quite the machine. As the name suggests, this Jeep is more about carving corners and breaking quarter-mile times, than going through the toughest of terrains.

The 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk is one subtle speed machine. There are very few details to tell this apart from a standard top-trim Grand Cherokee. However, closer inspection would reveal the larger front air dam, air vents on the hood, larger wheels with sticky Pirelli P Zero rubber, “Supercharged” monikers on the front doors, and round at the back, the biggest give away – quad exhaust pipes and a rear diffuser!

The interior of the Trackhawk is almost identical to that found on the top-trim Grand Cherokee. So, the materials aren’t going to be of the best quality, and the fit and finish isn’t stellar either. However, the Trackhawk comes with all the bells and whistles, and the standard safety nannies are ever present to keep occupants safe.

Powering the 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk is a supercharged 6.2-liter V8 that pushes out 707 HP and 875 Nm of torque. This powerplant is mated to an 8-speed transmission, and drive goes to all four corners for maximum traction. The 2.4-ton Trackhawk is capable of bolting to 100 km/h from standstill in a riveting 3.7 seconds, whilst top whack is 289 km/h.
