The 2018 Kia Stinger is a halo car for the Korean carmaker. One of its primary objectives is to change perceptions of the brand, and to enforce that Kia is just as able when it comes to making sporty sedan as the Germans.

The exterior of the 2018 Kia Stinger features radical styling so as to grab the attention of onlookers. The signature Kia ‘Tiger Nose’ grille design looks mean as ever, along with a new full LED setup for the front lights. The hood gets some pseudo vents to make the front look even meaner, but seem a tad bit tackier as well. There are functional side vents, stylish 20” alloy wheels, and a coupe-like roofline. The rear looks nice but it seems like Kia took some inspiration from Maserati’s design book. The Stinger also gets quad-exhaust pipes and a rear diffuser.

The cabin of the 2018 Kia Stinger is impressive and gets good quality materials. It is a pretty well laid out cabin, and the ergonomics are spot on as well. Kia also offers the Stinger with many convenience features and there are a ton of safety kit as well.

The Stinger is powered either by a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-banger that puts out 255 horses and 353 torques, or a 3.3-liter twinturbo V6 that makes 365 Korean horses and 510 Nm of shove. The latter will take the Kia Stinger to 100 km/h in 4.9 seconds, and onto a top speed of 270 km/h.
