2018 Mazda CX 5 revealed at the Dubai Motor Show

First introduced to the world in 2012, the Mazda CX-5 has been one of best-sellers for the Japanese brand. Now, in its 2018 avatar, the all-new Mazda CX-5 has hit showrooms and is aiming to conquer the compact crossover market all over again.

The 2018 Mazda CX-5 marks improvement in exterior design, and now looks posher than ever. The original CX-5 pioneered Mazda’s KODO design language, and on this 2018 model, that theme looks even more aggressive. The large, angular front grille is pronounced and is flanked by newly redesigned, sleek headlamps with integrated LED daytime-running lights. The hood features strong creases, which melt right into the A-pillar. The side profile, with its sloping rear window line and muscular wheel arches, looks and more appealing than before. The rear gets wrap-around LED taillights, a revised tailgate and updated bumper design.
The cabin of the 2018 Mazda CX-5 has been overhauled too - now featuring better quality materials, slightly more room, and even better ergonomics. It looks undeniably more appealing and premium on the inside, plus, when compared to the previous CX-5, is much quieter as well. There’s enough tech and safety gadgets to keep those onboard entertained and comfortable.

Under the long hood of the 2018 Mazda CX-5 is the same 2.5-liter, 4-cylinder SKYACTIV petrol engine that develops 188 HP and 251 Nm of torque. Transmission duties are handled by a 6-speed automatic gearbox and then channeled to the driven wheels. Where the FWD CX-5 hits 100 km/h in 7.9 seconds, the AWD variant takes 8.2 seconds. Top whack for both variants is 210 km/h.
