2018 Mitsubishi Pajero at the Dubai Motor Show

Initially introduced by Mitsubishi way back in 1982, today, the Pajero nameplate is among the most widely-recognized in the whole world. In fact, the Japanese carmaker owes much of its success in the GCC market to the Pajero.
The 2018 Mitsubishi Pajero carries forward the same design found on its predecessor. This means that the 2018 model will be nigh on impossible to tell apart from the 2017 one. Well, as the saying goes, “Why fix something that isn’t broke?” This philosophy applies absolutely to the “all-new” 2018 Mitsubishi Pajero. However, it still remains a popular choice for buyers looking for a practical all-rounder, family SUV.
Just like the 2017 model before it, the new 2018 Pajero is available in 3-door and 5-door guises. Also similar to before are the two engine options – a 3.5-liter V6 and a larger, more powerful 3.8-liter V6. The former makes 189 horses and 306 torques, while the 3.8-liter unit churns out 239 horses and 329 Nm. Where the 3.5-liter Pajero gets mated to an antiquated 4-speed automatic, the 3.8-liter model gets a (more modern?) 5-speed transmission.
The 2018 Mitsubishi Pajero with the 3.8-liter V6 will hit 100 km/h in 10.8 seconds, and top speed is pegged at 200 km/h.
