The Dubai International Motor Show happens every two years. It's one of the most important events for the automotive industry, petrolheads, and buyers like you and me. At the end of the day, it's a great place to visit if you're considering buying a new car or simply wish to see what manufacturers are producing.

During this 2017 edition, Toyota is showcasing nearly the entire line up. However, the New 2018 Camry Hybrid Electric is one of the highlights.

From what they have stated, this 2018 Toyota Camry gives 70% greater fuel economy than the regular 2.5 liter Camry engine. They improved the electric motors to produce more torque and 212 horsepower. Most probably, we will see the 2018 Toyota Camry Hybrid Electric as a taxi as part of the RTA fleet. On another interesting note, RTA currently has more than 1,500 previous-generation hybrid Camrys that they are planning to stretch to over 2,000 vehicles.

If you are planning to buy the 2018 Camry, a good enhancement that has been done versus its predecessor is moving the battery from the luggage compartment to below the rear seats. This will give you more space to put all your stuff while taking your family to a holiday someplace near Dubai (or more space for taxis when picking up tourists at the airport).

With regards to safety, the 2018 Hybrid Toyota Camry comes with an Adaptive Front Light System (AFLS), Electronic Parking Brake (EPB), Hill Start Assist (HSA), Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS), Vehicle Stability Control (VSC), rear monitor and ISOFIX child seat anchors.

On the feature front, you will find leather seats, central locking, power windows, powered seats, push start button, a speedometer with a 4.2'' color display, a complete audio system with AM/FM/CD/AUX/USB/Bluetooth and 6 speakers, among others.
