The Koreans have mastered their strategy and now to implement it in full swing, luxury automobile manufacturer Genesis is launching its second SUV model, the GV70. Expanding its SUV portfolio and joining the stunning GV80, the all-new GV70 is a compact luxury SUV that will be debuting on Tuesday, 8th December 2020.

From the information that has been made public, we do know that the GV70 will rock the brand’s signature grille and dual-headlamp design, along with a sloping roof for a Coupe-like silhouette. The cockpit will be rather minimal in terms of design and will feature a two-spoke steering wheel, a horizontal infotainment screen, and an additional display screen for the climate control system. A selection of premium materials will also be present, although the finest will be reserved for the top-of-the-line variants such as the Sport which will also feature 21-inch alloys.

In terms of drivetrains, the GV70 is expected to come with rear-wheel drive as standard and optional all-wheel drive as it is based on the same platform as the G70 luxury sports sedan. As per the grapevine, the engine line-up could consist of a turbo-four which could either be the 249 horsepower 2.0-liter unit or the 300 horsepower 2.5-liter unit. Some also claim a V6 could be possible in the Sport variant, although it is unknown whether it will be the 3.3-liter with 365 horsepower or the 3.5-liter twin-turbo with 375 horsepower.

Stay tuned for more updates as they are released.
