Dubai Police said that 580 drivers had their licences confiscated in the last year with up to 24 or more black points. Even though Dubai Police launched an installment plan for traffic fines to, kind of, make life easier!

According to Col Saif Al Mazrouei, director of the General Department of Traffic, the drivers are 244 Emiratis, 159 Pakistanis, 124 Indians and 245 belong to people with other nationalities.

The driving licences get confiscated for 3 months with the first 24 black points reached. The second time it gets confiscated for 6 months, and the third time is one year and will only get it back if they pass a traffic safety course.

Just be a good driver and you could be as lucky as the guy who won a Chevrolet Cruze from the Dubai Police!
