Sitting among the top-ranking luxury sport sedans is the 2018 BMW 3-Series. Since being the standard in 1970s, the reputation that the 3-Series has built over the years gives way to a 2018 model that doesn't disappoint. It combines luxury, fun, and power into a stylish and highly regarded automobile. It's no wonder that it is the best-selling car among its rivals like the Mercedes-Benz C-Class and the Audi A4.

Exterior

The BMW retains its sharp and elegant exterior look with the 3-Series. The classic luxurious appearance comes with body-colored bumpers, fog lights, and mirrors. It measures 4.62 meters in length, 2.03 meters in width, and 1.43 meters in height. This rear wheel drive compact sedan starts with 16-inch aluminum alloy wheels on run-flat tires.

Interior

Typical of a premium German saloon, the 2018 BMW 3-Series provides a good mix of luxury, functionality, and comfort. The seats look elegant and provide ample cushioning in all the right places. It also has adjustable seats and high-quality metal inlays at the front. There is ample clearance on top even for taller people.

Features

Scoring perfectly for its safety assessment with ANCAP, the 2018 BMW 3-Series has several features that provide for safe driving. Aside from the run-flat tires and 6 airbags, it maintains stability, has a multi-view camera for reverse, warning signals when you get off lane, and automatic brakes in case of emergencies. Other basic features include LED lamps, cruise control, audio systems and Bluetooth connection, and satellite navigation.

It runs at 5.9 L of petrol for every 100 Km and accelerates to 100 Km/h in 8.9 seconds. Top speed is pegged at 210 km/h. For almost twice the price, you can get the 3.0 L straight-six twin-turbo version that makes a whopping 306 horsepower at 400 Nm torque. 0-100 km/h takes only 5.5 seconds and goes all the way to 250 km/h.

Verdict

The 2018 BMW 3-Series is not the best-selling car in its class for no reason. It combines luxury, comfort, and powerful yet smooth performance. From SR 110,000 to SR 215,000, no version falls short of the 3-Series' decade long reputation in luxury sports sedans.
