All New 2021 Rolls Royce Ghost Breaks Cover

After an extensive teaser campaign, the all-new 2021 Rolls Royce Ghost has been unveiled, flaunting an evolutionary yet sharper design with a host of new features. Underpinning the new Ghost is the same flexible aluminum architecture that underpins the Phantom and Cullinan, but it has been tweaked to ensure the Ghost is both enjoyable to drive and comfortable to be driven in.

Powering the all-new Ghost is a 6.75-liter twin-turbocharged V12 engine that pushes out 563 horsepower and 850 Nm of torque. The luxury manufacturer also claims that maximum torque is available from as low down as 1,600 RPM and that the new Ghost features a distinctive porting system in the air intake to reduce unwanted engine noise within the cabin.

Despite the majority of Ghost buyers being chauffeur-driven, the engine is placed behind the front axle, providing the sedan a perfect 50/50 weight distribution for an enhanced driving experience. Power is distributed to all four corners via an eight-speed ZF automatic transmission that is equipped with the brand’s Satellite Aided system which draws GPS data to pre-select the optimum gear for upcoming turns.

In addition to all-wheel-steering, the all-new Ghost is also fitted with Planar Suspension – a system that uses cameras to read the road ahead and prepare the suspension system for any changes in the road surface. Compared to the older model, the all-new Ghost is longer and wider, by 89mm and 30mm, respectively.

When it comes to the styling, the 2021 Rolls-Royce Ghost is familiar but different. Building on its evolutionary design, it features a new illuminated grille, LEDs, and laser headlights while at the rear there are new taillights with a slightly more striking look. Prices in the UAE are expected to start at approximately AED 1,200,000.
