The collaboration between Aston Martin and Red Bull has given birth to the AM-RB 001 Hypercar. A Hypercar that is unlike anything else – achieving speeds faster than a Formula One car and still retaining its road-legal badge.

The product of Adrian Newey, Marek Reichman and David King, the AM-RB 001 Hypercar is the ultimate concoction of form and function. While the standard car is engineered to be enjoyable and perform like no road car before it on a race track, there’s also a track-only AM-RB 001 in the works which is expected to boast performance in line with today’s LMP1 LeMans sports prototypes.
To offer unprecedented levels of downforce in a road-car, the AM-RB 001 generates majority of its downforce through underfloor aerodynamics. Built at Gaydon’s purpose-built facility for the One-77, the AM-RB 001 houses a mid-mounted, high-revving, naturally aspirated V12 engine that flaunts a 1:1 power-to-weight ratio. Yes, that’s a mindboggling 1 bhp per kilogram of weight.

Total volumes are expected to be between 99 and 150 road-cars, with an additional 25 track-only variants. While deliveries are expected to commence in 2018, be prepared to shell out an eye-watering AED 12,000,000 if you fancy having one parked up your driveway.
