As a befitting tribute to the famed Vantage line-up, British manufacturer Aston Martin has commissioned 300 units to mark the Vantage AMR as the first series production derivative of its race-inspired performance range. Launched at the Geneva Motor Show earlier this year, the AMR brand has two distinct tiers, Series Production and AMR Pro, with the Vantage AMR serving as an entry point into the former.

Available in four exterior hues (Stratus White with an Orange graphic, Ultramarine Black with a Blue graphic, Zaffre Blue with a Red graphic, and Scintilla Silver with a Grey graphic) the Vantage AMR features a lightweight grille, side strakes, and lamp infills, in addition to customization options that see three unique finishes for the stunning 10-spoke alloy wheels.

Aston Martin President and CEO, Dr Andy Palmer, said of the Vantage AMR: “It’s a real thrill to see our first AMR model go into production. The Vantage has been an incredible success for Aston Martin, both in V8 and V12 forms. As our most agile and athletic road car, and our long-time representative in the world of GT racing, it is the perfect model with which to introduce the exciting AMR range.”

Available in Coupe and Roadster body styles, the Vantage AMR’s production run is limited to 300 units – 100 V12s and 200 V8s – with figures in the range of 580 horsepower for the V12 and 430 horsepower for the V8. Both engines are available with either an automated sequential paddle-shift or manual transmission. Priced upwards of AED 460,000, deliveries to customers around the world are scheduled to begin in the fourth quarter of 2017.
