Audi AI:ME concept car to be showcased at Audi Showroom in Dubai till April 30

Audi stunned the whole world back in 2019 at the Shanghai Motor Show when it took the wraps off its AI:ME concept -  a car that would be perfect for travelling through any mega city. The futuristic concept showcased level 4 autonomous tech, a very relaxing and roomy interior (despite its short size), and lights, lots of them.

Seriously, this concept has lights everywhere and they weren’t just for showing off. Audi claimed that the lights at the fenders helped the car be more visible to people looking down at them, like bikers and pedestrians. What’s more, because this was a self-driving vehicle, the array of lights meant the signals could indicate greater detail about the vehicle’s intentions and even pedestrians busy with their smartphones wouldn't miss the car. Clever.

When the car would go into self-driving mode, the steering would retract into the dash putting forward a large wood dash extended for use by the driver. The driver can then use the place to keep his computer or book. Back in the day, Audi imagined the production version of the AI:ME to have a 65-kWh battery pack and be able to travel at speeds between 20 and 70 kph over short distances.

Now, thanks to Al Nabooda Automobiles, the official dealer of Audi in Dubai and the Northern Emirates, the AI:ME concept will be on show at the iconic Museum of the Future at Sheikh Zayed Road showroom until 30th April 2022. This concept will give customers  a glimpse of Audi's vision about the future of mobility.
