Audi Soars in the Middle East: 2023 Sets Record-Breaking Sales

Posted by Tejas Kokcha on Feb 1, 2024

2023 was yet another record breaking year for Audi. The German carmaker sold 1.9 million cars globally, with EV sales rising by 51 per cent as compared to 2022. But that’s not the main bit of news.

The big news for us is that 2023 was a landmark year for Audi in the Middle East. Sales increased by 6 per cent year-over-year with the Q5 making up for a record-breaking 17 per cent of total sales in the region. EV sales in the region also grew by a whopping 73 per cent signaling the shift towards electric mobility.

The gorgeous Audi e-Tron GT was the primary driver of the growth in EV sales. Sales for the high-performance electric car rose by 61 per cent. Audi Sport also saw its highest sales ever in the Middle East in 2023.

Audi Middle East Managing Director, Rene Koneberg said: “I’m extremely proud of what we’ve accomplished in the Middle East last year. The continuous dedication of our partners, coupled with our unwavering focus on exceptional customer experience and after-sales support, has fuelled our outstanding performance, allowing for even further improvement since 2022.

“Witnessing the regional surge in EV sales and record-breaking success of the Q5 and Audi Sport models fills me with immense gratification. We’re thrilled by these achievements and ready to build upon them in 2024.”
