In a move to improve the parking situation around one of the city’s most popular residential and commercial areas, the Dubai Roads and Transport Authority has implemented paid parking spaces in Barsha Heights. From November 17th onwards, motorists will have to pay a fee of AED 4 per hour and AED 2 for every half hour of parking in the area.

Osama Al Safi, Director of Parking at RTA, said: “This agreement shall come into effect on Saturday November 17, 2018. It stems from RTA’s keenness to improve the parking services all over Dubai and contributes to the desired integrated traffic system, through encouraging people to use public transport modes.”

Speaking about the implementation of paid parking across the area, Abdulla Belhoul, Chief Commercial Officer at Tecom Group, said: “At TECOM, we always seek to cooperate with various public entities in Dubai, especially RTA, to support their vision and plans to facilitate the life of citizens and residents. Under this context, we are collaborating with RTA in support of its efforts to carry out its mission and upgrade the traffic system in Dubai.”
