BMW i8 Joins Dubai Police Fleet

The Dubai Police fleet is considered to be the most luxurious and sporty police fleet in the world, with amazing and extremely expensive sports and luxury cars. The latest addition to the Dubai Police fleet is the BMW i8 2015 (See prices of i8).

The BMW i8 2015’s colors in the Dubai Police looks spectacular, and probably even better than the original official colors of blue and black. The white and green patrol cars look like a police car from the future, we simply find it stunning.

As you may know, the BMW i8 is equipped with a 1.5 liter turbo engine as well as an electric motor. The total output of the BMW i8 2015 is a respectable 362 hp and 420 pound-feet of torque, thus making the acceleration time from 0 - 100 km/h 4.2 sec only. Top speed is limited to 250 km/h!

Unlike other supercars that are currently part of the Dubai Police force, this car actually has 2 front seats and 2 back seats, so theoretically the car can actually be used to transport criminals, and what a ride that will be! The lucky criminals in the back will have cup holders for their beverages (in case they were arrested with hot drinks), and they will enjoy a ride in one of the world’s most advanced cars. The latest car before this i8 to join the fleet was the Brabus G Wagen.

Of course Dubai Police doesn’t use these cars for actual police work, for that they rely on the trusted Chevrolets, Nissans, and Toyotas. However, these luxury supercars are used for public relations and events around Dubai, promoting the police force and put a more humane face on the force.
