BMW M3 special edition unveiled

Posted by Mansoor A. Bukhari on May 29, 2016

Another example of achieving milestone. This time by BMW. BMW has recently taken the wraps off the special version of the iconic BMW M3 at the Nurburgring 24 Hrs. The reason behind this unveiling: well, it has been 30 years since the revolutionary E30 BMW M3 made the stage, so to commemorate that occasion, BMW has created a makeover for the 2016 M3. This special edition is called the ’30 Jahre M3’

Coming to the car itself, the 30 Jahre M3 is dressed in Macao Blue metallic paint. This is the same paint used in the old E30 M3. So you see where they are getting at. Other than that, you will find massive 20 inch alloys – these are taken from the Competition Pack. Moreover, the Competition Pack also gives you 19BHP more than the regular M3 which means the total now adds up to 444 BHP. Other changes in the Competition Pack include specially tuned suspension, differential and stability systems.

The 30 Jahre M3 also gets loads of ’30 Jahre’ badges on the outside as well as the inside. The interior cabin is made up of exclusive full leather Merino trim with a special black and blue finishing (there is an optional black and Silverstone finishing as well). In addition, you get more ’30 Jahre’ badging and generous dose of carbon fiber. There will be a total of 500 30 Jahre M3 produced and all of them will be same in specs. So, you will get DCT gearbox, 444 BHP and a 0-100 km/h time of 4.0 seconds.
