Brabus chooses Continental tyres for its most powerful car

German tuner Brabus amazed the car world with its most powerful car to date - the Brabus 930. Based on the Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S E Performance, the hybrid supercar has some mind boggling numbers to brag about.

0-62 mph takes just 2.8 seconds and top speed is limited to 197 mph. The most nerve tingling stat of them all is the horsepower which is 917 hp coming from the twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 engine combined with an electric motor.

The cylinder banks Brabus’ PowerXtra control module which recalibrates the electric boost pressure control to generate more power. The Brabus 930 also sports a larger compressor unit, modified core assembly and a reinforced axial bearing.

On the outside, there's a lot of carbon fibre on show with the new front splitter, bigger radiator, rear spoiler and diffuser. Moving inside, the dashboard, steering wheel, and centre console all have more carbon fibre on show.

For such an extreme car, Brabus has chosen Continental’s SportContact 7 tyres. This choice shouldn’t come as a surprise with SportContact 7 tyres winning all seven independent tests published this year. In each of the tests they took part in, three times earning ratings of “outstanding” or “excellent”. On the Brabus 930, 275/35 ZR 21 tyres are found on the front with 335/25 ZR 22 tyres at the rear.

The choice of tyres for the Brabus 930 extends the German tuner’s 25 year partnership with Continental.
