Brandon Maben And His Awesome Nissan Patrol

The Nissan Patrol is a staple of many households in the Middle East. Proven as a comfortable family hauler, a distinguished highway cruiser, and an epic off-roader, its praise and admiration are well earned. Today, we speak to Brandon Maben, a man who has tastefully customized his Nissan Patrol to stand out from the crowd and conquer anything in its path…literally.

What car do you currently drive? 

I drive a Nissan Patrol Y61 SWB and I have spent quite a lot of time and effort making it my ideal off-road companion.

Have you owned any interesting cars in the past? 

Not entirely sure if it would classify as interesting, but I have owned a BMW 320i in the past. It was a very different car compared to the Patrol.

What got you into cars? 

Like many young boys, I would have to say it was toy cars such as HotWheels that jumpstarted my automotive passion.

What is unique about your car? Have you customized it in any way? 

I have completely upgraded it to go off-road and take me to the remotest parts of the country. I have added a set of Baja Design off-road lights, bigger tires, Braid rally wheels, Kings off-road suspension, upgraded springs, Dobinsons rear control arms, an aftermarket air intake system, and added a tune as well. To complement the white exterior, I have also de-chromed the entire rig and replaced all chrome elements with gloss black.

Do you have any upgrades or modifications in the pipeline? 

To be honest, I’m really happy with how the car is, just want to enjoy the beast as she is

Tell me one car you would swap your current car for? 

I would not swap her but would like something smaller and faster on the side.
