Cafu fuel delivery service launched in Dubai

If you own a car or you’ve ever been tasked with taking it to the petrol station for a fill up, then you’re probably aware of how time consuming the process can be, especially in busy areas of the city and during peak times. Cafu, an on-demand fuel delivery service, has recently been launched in Dubai and so my colleague Anas and I decided to give it a try.

It was the day of the shoot, and as we completed a few tasks before heading out of the office, I happened to ask Anas where we’d be filming that day. Jogging his memory, he remembered a new spot he’d scouted over the weekend in Al Jadaf and was insistent on us trying it out. While I wasn’t particularly enthusiastic about driving nearly an hour out, I liked the idea of experimenting with a new location.

As has become the norm, however, I happened to crosscheck with Anas whether the car we’d be filming had enough fuel, and (expectedly) it didn’t. We began by downloading the Cafu app from the Google Play Store and following a simple registration process, we found ourselves scrolling a map, pinpointing the location of where our test car was parked.

Before we could complete our tasks for the day, we were notified that the petrol tanker was on its way, the refueling was taking place, and that we were ready to go. Needless to say, because of how effortless the process was, my colleague Anas was thrilled that he didn’t have to waste time in a petrol station line, as was I, since I didn’t have to carry jerrycans along.
