But unlike regular Porsches, it is the special edition models that tend to exponentially increase in value as time goes on. Below, is a list of celebrities who have worked hard at becoming avid collectors and possess access to virtually any Porsche they desire.

Patrick Dempsey

Heartthrob from popular TV series Grey’s Anatomy, Patrick is a true enthusiast and arguably one of the best Porsche collectors in the world. His first car, a Porsche 356, cemented his dedication and passion for the German automaker. While he has owned several Porsche models including the 911 Turbo, 911 Targa, and 911 GT3 RS, he also represents the brand in Le Mans and is the owner of numerous race cars.

Ellen DeGeneres

Talk show host Ellen DeGeneres might not come across as a car enthusiast at first glance, but her automotive purchases prove otherwise. Over the years, she’s been spotted behind the wheel of various Porsche models including, a 993, 997 Carrera S, 4S, GTS, Turbo S, and a Cayenne.

Jerry Seinfeld

Comedy legend Jerry Seinfeld is on every list of Porsche enthusiasts across the globe, and for good reason. With a vast collection of Porsche models, it’s nearly impossible to keep track of them all. At a recent auction, Jerry sold over a dozen cars including a 1955 550 Spyder, a 1974 911 Carrera, a 1994 964 Turbo, a 1998 Porsche 993, a 2000 Porsche Carrera GT Prototype, and a 2011 Porsche 977 Speedster, but something tells us he’s got plans of purchasing even more soon!
