Continental Tires now on world’s largest and tallest observation wheel Ain Dubai

German tyre manufacturer Continental has partnered with Ain Dubai, the world’s largest and tallest observation wheel. The Ain Dubai wheel is a major tourist attraction located on Dubai’s must-visit island destination, Bluewaters and it now has 64 Continental tyres.

While Continental Tires is synonymous with cars, it is no stranger to providing its top-class wheels to observation wheels. Ever since its launch in 1999, the London Eye - UK’s observation vehicle - has been using Continental Tires.

Getting back to Ain Dubai, the 64 tyres are equipped with ContiPressureCheck sensors and digitally monitored by ContiConnect technology. This system enables access to continuous feedback from the tyres which can be accessed via a web portal or app. One can also see  reports and analytics related to the pressure monitoring of the tire which further helps in maintaining them and keeping Ain Dubai running. 

The tyres serve the purpose of being friction rollers in the drive systems of the wheel and keep the wheel moving at its steady and slow speed.

A very interesting fact is that these Continental tires are usually found on tractors and trailers rather than this glamorous tourist spot. They have been chosen for Ain Dubai thanks to their unparalleled reliability.
