Devel Sixteen unveiled at the 2017 Dubai Motor Show

A Hypercar that has been causing a stir in the automotive industry, the Devel Sixteen is an Emirati offering that aims to challenge physics and redefine the boundaries of possibilities. With a claimed 5,000 horsepower and 483 km/h top speed, the Sixteen is determined to snag the title of the “World’s Fastest Car” and drive away with it.

More than just an exercise in wishful thinking, however, a video from the brand’s subcontractor (SME) shows the Devel Sixteen’s 12.3-liter quad-turbo V16 engine pump out a whopping 5,007 horsepower on a legitimate dynamometer. A dragstrip annihilator, as opposed to a road-legal rocket, the Devel Sixteen is expected to make its way to customers within 12 – 18 months, accompanied by a price tag that is undisclosed at this point in time.
Rashid Al Attari, the developer of the brand and a petrolhead through and through, did mention that road-legal versions of the highly-anticipated Devel Sixteen will be made available in due course. A V8 model with a “paltry” 2,000 horsepower and a V16 quad-turbo unit with a ludicrous 3,000 horsepower. Prices are at expected to stand at AED 5,800,000 and AED 6,600,000 respectively.
