Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat crosses 700 HP

Posted by Mansoor A. Bukhari on Jul 2, 2014

Not long ago, Dodge previewed a beefed up SRT Challenger claiming to have more than 600 BHP form the 6.2 liter HEMI V8. The purpose behind it was to rival the Shelby GT500 and the Camaro ZL1 producing 660 and 580 BHP respectively. This was good news for the muscle car lovers and now Dodge has officially confirmed the power output – a mind-boggling 707 BHP and 881 Nm of torque.

These figures not only beat the other muscle cars but also put the Corvette Z06 and the Viper to shame. This makes the Hellcat the most powerful American production car ever built. So, Dodge now has some deserving bragging rights. God bless Hellcat.

Dodge has released a teaser for this behemoth. Check it out.
