Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat Redeye rumbles into the Middle East

Posted by Zaran Tarapore on Sep 8, 2019

Dodge has been pushing the boundaries of what a muscle car is capable of and to prove it isn’t ready to settle, it’s launched its latest Challenger SRT Hellcat Redeye in the Middle East. By placing its biggest, most powerful engine (the supercharged HEMI V8) under the hood and leveraging from its enormous power output, the Redeye produces a tire-shredding 797 horsepower and sprints from 0-100km/h in just 3.4-seconds.

Much like its Demon brethren that holds the title of ‘The Most Powerful Muscle Car’, the Hellcat Redeye receives 25 major component upgrades, including a larger supercharger, strengthened connecting rods and pistons, high-speed valve train, fuel injection system and improved lubrication system.

The Challenger SRT Hellcat Redeye’s supercharged engine is paired to an eight-speed automatic transmission. Internal changes to the transmission include an upgraded torque converter that delivers an 18 percent increase in torque multiplication when compared with the standard Challenger SRT Hellcat.

The newly designed, fully functional dual-snorkel hood vents provide maximum air intake to the supercharged powerplant and pay homage to the distinctive design themes famous mid-1960s and early-1970s Dodge muscle cars, like the 1970 Dart Swinger and 1971 Demon. The Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat Redeye is now available in Dodge showrooms across the Middle East with prices starting at AED 402,000.
