Started in 1949 and created to transform the ordinary into something extraordinary, Abarth – the brand with the Scorpion badge – recently opened its newest showroom on Dubai’s bustling Airport Road. Dedicated to enthusiasts in the country, the popular National Auto Showroom is now the proud home of Abarth and its entire line-up in the UAE.

Having come a long way from the time when Carlo Abarth and Guido Scagliarini founded the Abarth brand six decades ago, the Italian marque’s line-up comprises of three models, the 595 Abarth, the 695 Abarth, and the all-new Abarth 124 Spider. Staying true to the brand’s DNA, the offerings not only live up to high performance and power but are small and agile, just like a scorpion.

The new 595 and 695 Abarth are available in the Middle East with two body styles (hatchback and convertible) and two trim levels (595 Competizione and 695 Rivale) with both being equipped with a powerful 1.4-liter turbocharged engine that develops 180 horsepower and 250 Nm of torque. Their sporting pedigree is further cemented with a Record Monza / Akrapovic exhaust system, Brembo brakes, and a robotized sequential gearbox with paddle shifters.

The drop-top Abarth 124 Spider shares its underpinning with the Mazda MX-5 and is an unconventional car that is bound to excite everyone who gets behind the wheel. With the weight kept at a bare minimum of 1,129kg, the weight-to-power ratio of 6.6kg/hp is the best in its category. With a throbbing 1.4-liter turbocharged MultiAir engine under the hood, the 124 Spider delivers 170 horsepower and 250 Nm of torque with a top speed of 229 km/h.
