Made in China and sporting an MG badge, the 750 has turned heads in the compact sedan market. With more than enough goodies and features to match even the most popular models in its class, it is one of the more unexpectedly great offerings in MG’s current product line. The 2018 MG 750 has proven to be so good that it squarely belongs among the top cars available in Egypt showrooms today.

Exterior

While it has been on the market for a decade now, the MG 750 looks as timeless as ever. Combining both classic and modern elements in design, the 750 still looks great and feels at home with the cars of today. For the 2018 model year, the exterior features color-matched door handles and alloy wheels, giving it an even more premium feel.

Interior

The interior of the car is pleasantly designed and well-built. The cabin itself is spacious, with loads of headroom and legroom in both the front and rear. It comes with nifty interior features such as a tilt-adjustable steering wheel, power windows, and power windows. The use of faux wood trim, oval dials, and a vintage-inspired dashboard clock gives the 750’s interior a classic feel that matches the outside.

Features

There are standard features that aim to improve the overall riding experience. For instance, there are some nifty interior features such as a 12-volt socket and lumbar support for the front seats. It also comes with a high amount of standard safety features that includes anti-lock brakes, traction control, anti-theft alarm, airbags, and child seat anchors.

Specs

There are 2 engine options available for the MG 750. The entry-level motor is a 1.8-liter 4-cylinder petrol engine with a maximum output of 158 horsepower and 215 Nm of torque. A more premium offering is a 2.5-liter V6 engine that produces a maximum output of 181 horsepower and 230 Nm of torque. Both engines supply their power to the front wheels via an automatic gearbox. Performance is somewhat lacking, but this car does not seem to be designed for outright performance.

Verdict

With all things considered, the 2018 MG 750 is a car that’s still a force to be reckoned with, even if it’s already on the road for more than a decade now. Bringing a unique approach to producing compact cars, this car just might change your perception when it comes to Chinese-made cars.
