Ferrari Purosangue arrives in the Middle East

The Purosangue marks the beginning of a new chapter for Ferrari with the Italian carmaker making a foray into the SUV market. While Ferrari has made 2+2 cars in the past, with the brand turning 75 this year, it has built an SUV which it promises has “the Prancing Horse DNA.”

We’re calling the Purosangue an SUV but Ferrari claims that it is sort of a 2+2 Grand Tourer. And a look at its stats does make one wonder - is the Purosangue an SUV? Or is it a sporty crossover? Or maybe a GT? Well, that only Ferrari can reveal.

For those of you who need a reminder: the Purosangue features the old-gold naturally aspirated 6.5-liter V12 which produces a whopping 715 horsepower and 528 pound-feet of torque in this iteration. The speedy dual clutch transmission puts all that power on the road and enables the 4,482 pound car to do 0-62mph in just 3.3 seconds and flat out at 192mph.

The Middle East market is on top of Ferrari’s global sales programme for the Purosangue and to introduce the car specifically to the region, the italian marque organized an event at the Emirates Towers. At the glamorous reveal, high-profile clients and VIP guests were invited from the Middle East and India.

Ferrari Middle East was represented by General Manager Dieter Knechtel and the reveal was headed by Dieter Knechtel, President of Ferrari Far East & Middle East and Emanuele Carando, Global Head of Product Marketing.
