Unveiled at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show, the Lamborghini Centenario is a limited-edition supercar based on the mighty-popular Aventador. Marking Ferruccio Lamborghini’s 100th birthday, the Centenario is limited to just 40 units - twenty coupes and twenty roadsters - the first of which has been delivered to a member of the UAE’s Royal Family.

Thirty-two-year-old Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, is believed to have spent approximately AED 10,000,000 to secure a unit that is dressed in orange and black hues. The special bodywork sits atop the Aventador SV’s carbon fiber monocoque and is powered by a tuned version of the Aventador’s 6.5-liter naturally-aspirated V12 engine.

759 horsepower and 690 Nm of torque, make the Centenario more powerful than the recently introduced Aventador S and sees it accelerate from 0 – 100 km/h in just 2.8-seconds while flaunting a top speed in excess of 350 km/h.

Following in the footsteps of the Lamborghini Veneno, a supercar of which only five units were produced and three sold to customers around the world, the Centenario is a tribute to Ferruccio Lamborghini, a man whose passion and dedication saw no end. Constantly pushing the boundaries of possibilities and producing extraordinary vehicles, the Centenario is a great beginning for what lies ahead.
