First Look: 2015 Ford Focus ST

Posted by Samar Huneidi on Jun 30, 2014

The most fun hot-hatch is back with a much awaited facelift for 2015 model. Some of new things that happened include a new front and rear fascia. The front now resembles more to an Aston Martin - like the Ford Fusion. Other than that, it includes new wheel designs (18" alloys with red brake callipers), standard HID headlights and Recaro seats on the ST2 and ST3 and new colors. Coming to the interior, it features heated steering wheel and 8-way powered driver's seat

Ford hasn't changed the engine as the new model still features the same 2.0 liter turbocharged engine producing 252 BHP and 366 Nm of torque but now with the start-stop function resulting in better efficiency. This engine is mated to the same six-speed manual gearbox with no signs of optional DSG any time soon. They, however, have fiddled with the suspension and tyres to make the handling better in precision thus making the car more agile.

The car also includes the new and improved Ford SYNC infotainment system which promises user friendly interface with less bugs. This new hatchback will be available next year with an estimated price tag of $38,000.
