First Look: 2015 Volkswagen Passat

The Passat has finally received an update. Entering its 8th generation, the new Passat is different in size than the previous gen. It’s shortened by 2 mm and widened by 12 mm while the wheelbase is longer. Moreover, its weight is reduced by around 85 Kgs. Other changes include the following:
- Handling and suspension has been improved resulting in better ride comfort.
- LED headlamps and tail-lamps are now standard with optional adaptive lights.
- Digital instrument cluster
- Heads-up display
- Safety systems including pedestrian monitoring, emergency brake assist, trailer assist and traffic jam assist.
- Auto start-stop and brake regeneration.
- Engine options producing between 118 BHP and 276 BHP. Moreover, hybrid as well as zero-emission all-electric option is also available.
