In addition to the Bugattis, Ferraris, and Lamborghinis that catapulted the Dubai Police force to global fame, the newest inclusion to their enviable line-up comes in the form of flying motorcycles that will be an integral part of service by 2020.

In a video released online, officers can be seen training to ride the Hoversurf Scorpion 3 hoverbike with deliveries of the first batch scheduled for next year. Brigadier Khalid Al Razzouqi, Director of the Directorate General of Artificial Intelligence at Dubai Police, is of the opinion that the bike will enhance the force's rapid response capabilities.

The Scorpion 3 hoverbike is made by California-based company Hoversurf and weighs just 114kg thanks to its carbon fiber monocoque frame. Able to land in a standard size parking slot, the Scorpion 3 is believed to cost approximately AED 550,000 and reach speeds of 96km/h while flying up to 5-meters above the ground.
