Ford considering manufacturing unit in KSA

The Saudi-American Business Council has said reported US automakers GM, Chrysler and Ford, are considering proposals to set up their plants in Saudi Arabia.

Regional Director for the western Province for Tawkilat Al Jazeerah and member of the National Committee for Car Representatives at the Council of Saudi Chambers, Nabil Al-Husin, said that Ford has been studying for over a year the establishment of production lines seriously in the Saudi local market .

"Ford was reluctant at the beginning because of the long procedures for setting up projects, but it has changed its views because of the emerging circumstances," he said.
